Wrapping up Anna + Ian’s wedding over the next f

Wrapping up Anna + Ian’s wedding over the next few days and as I have this little break from weddings to start catching up from this fall, shooting multiple times a week and traveling. I’m reminiscing on those quiet moments. Those short bursts of much needed quiet time for my couples before the day really kicks off or the in-between’s of just the two of them (or 3 of us rather). Nobody tells you that it’s also a breather and a sigh of sweetness for photographers too. I thrive in these moments with my couples when we’re in a field in the mountains and I get to say “Anna, go be a little kid and frolic and spin and play”. Go and feel like a fairytale princess. You’ve done the planning. You’ve stuck to the timeline. You’ve invited all the people. Found the perfect attire. You’ve done the adulting. Now go be a kid!

Also, not so low key wanted to try on Anna’s dress and do the same.

Thank you to all you ladies that stepped in front of my camera in a room full of other women, in minimal clothing and makeup yesterday. That trusted me (maybe a complete stranger) to photograph you in the best and truest light. You’re a bunch of bad b’s.

It always brings me back to my WHY. As someone that photographs couples and occasional boudoir these days, I’m all for celebrating the skin you’re in no matter the season and the beauty of YOU. As women, our bodies go through so many changes. Every month to be exact! And that’s just on a small scale. It’s an honor and privilege to capture the body you’ve earned. Til next time! I’ve had the joy of photographing Steph and CJ in the Rockies AND on Nantucket. Both dreamy days. Take me back!! But this time, I got to meet their little cutie and well…Millie made her presence known. It makes me so happy to be a part of these moments. Love these guys!

One wedding, one family session, one quick trip to Salem, one trip to visit family and three tickets back to Colorado tomorrow for a fun filled weekend of sessions. Let’s gooooo!

What up?! Hey girl heyyyy, I’m Britt!

I contemplated playing some ‘real hot girl shit’ over the top of this photo, because that’s usually how I roll, but this seemed more fitting.

I was just photographing a wedding the other day when a guest said to me on the dance floor “ I love how you mix your work with pleasure” and I said “ How could I not? I get a front row seat to a couples best day and then I get to party with them”.

The truth is, I don’t take your day lightly. I love to be prepared, but the last thing a couple needs or wants on their wedding day is an uptight photographer. That’s where I come in! It’s a privilege to be there on your best day and it’s also a privilege to be there with your favorite people.

I feel like this is the part where I’m supposed to tell you that I just love taco Tuesday, plants and chasing sunsets in my wide brimmed hat like every other millennial photographer. Instead, I’ll leave you with ‘ I’m not like the other moms. I’m a cool mom.’
